Amended TransPennine Express service between Manchester Airport and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh from Saturday 30 December until Monday 1 January

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester and Preston, closing some lines on Saturday on Sunday. The engineering work is extended to between Manchester and Scotland on Monday. ​​​​​​​

Saturday and Sunday

Trains will start / terminate at Preston.

Buses replace trains between Manchester stations and Preston.

Monday

The following amendments will apply to TransPennine Express services:

• An hourly train service will operate between Manchester and Preston.

• A two hourly service will operate between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.

Replacement buses will operate between:

• Preston and Carlisle.

• Carlisle and Edinburgh calling at Lockerbie.
