Amended late night / early morning service in the Manchester area from Monday 5 to Friday 9 October

between Manchester Airport and Blackpool North, and also between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street

Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Manchester Piccadilly area, closing some lines overnight.

The following services will be amended:

Monday to Thursday

• The 22:47 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will depart up to 6 minutes earlier than usual between Chassen Road and Hunts Cross

• The 22:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted to run via Wigan North Western, and will not call at Lostock, Horwich Parkway, Chorley, or Buckshaw Parkway. A rail replacement bus service will run between Bolton and Blackpool North to serve these stations

• The 23:17 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will not run. A rail replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North, departing at 23:45

• The 23:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via Wigan North Western (not calling), and will not call at stations via Horwich Parkway / Bolton. A rail replacement bus service will run between Preston and Manchester Airport

• The 23:28 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will not run, and will instead be replaced by a bus

• The 23:36 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Oxford Road service will not run, and will instead be replaced by a bus

• The 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via Wigan North Western (not calling), and will not call at stations via Bolton / Horwich Parkway. A rail replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North

Tuesday to Friday

• The 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will depart later than usual at 05:06, and will continue to run later throughout
