Between Rochdale / Blackburn / Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate, between Blackburn / Manchester Victoria and Southport, and also between Manchester Oxford Road and Wigan North Western

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Salford Cresent and Ince and also between Ince and Wigan / Southport, closing lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

As a result the following amendments will apply to services from Monday until Thursday:

  • The 21:30 Blackburn to Southport service will be diverted via an alternative route between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate, and will not call at stations via Swinton and Atherton. A bus will be provided from Manchester Victoria to Wigan Wallgate to serve these stations.

  • The 22:20 Blackburn to Wigan Wallgate service will terminate at Manchester Victoria. A bus will be provided from Manchester Victoria to Wigan Wallgate.

  • The 22:25 Southport to Manchester Victoria service will run between Southport and Wigan Wallgate, and between Bolton and Manchester Victoria. A bus will be provided from Wigan Wallgate to Manchester Victoria, stopping to set down only from Bolton.

  • The 22:27 Manchester Oxford Road to Wigan North Western service will terminate at Bolton. A bus will be provided from Bolton to Wigan North Western.

  • The 22:49 Wigan Wallgate to Rochdale service will start from Manchester Victoria. A bus will be provided from Wigan Wallgate to Manchester Victoria.

  • The 23:20 Manchester Victoria to Wigan Wallgate service will depart at 23:03 and will not call at intermediate stations. A bus will be provided from Manchester Victoria to Wigan Wallgate calling at stations normally served by the train.
