Description
Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Mirfield, closing all lines.
Saturday and Sunday:
Replacement buses will run between:
Manchester Airport and Huddersfield via Stockport (hourly)
Stalybridge and Huddersfield (fast and stopping buses, every 30 minutes)
Huddersfield and Brighouse (extends to / from Halifax hourly)
Huddersfield and Wakefield Kirkgate (hourly via Deighton / Mirfield / Dewsbury)
An amended train service will run between:
Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle (via Hebden Bridge) (Saturday only)
Manchester Victoria and Newcastle (calling at Brighouse, running via Hebden Bridge) (Sunday only)
Manchester Victoria and Redcar Central, via Hebden Bridge (before 12:00 this will run to an amended and reduced timetable, with trains diverting to run via Castleford)
Hull and Leeds (before 12:00 this will run to an amended and reduced timetable, with trains diverting to run via Castleford)
York and Scarborough
Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge (hourly)
Wakefield Kirkgate and York via Castleford (hourly)
Some trains will call at Brighouse to connect with replacement buses to / from Huddersfield.
An amended timetable will be in place, with a reduced number of trains calling at Lea Green.
Stopping Train services that usually run between Leeds and Huddersfield will not run. You should use Northern services between Leeds and Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury instead.
Engineering work is also taking place between York and Newcastle, further affecting TransPennine Express services.
