ScotRail between Glasgow Central and Motherwell / Lanark / Edinburgh (via Carstairs), between Balloch / Milngavie and Motherwell

Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations in the Motherwell area, closing several lines.

Saturday:

Glasgow Central - Motherwell / Lanark:

Trains will run between Glasgow Central and Wishaw.

Trains between Bellshill and Wishaw are diverted via Holytown, and will not call at Motherwell, Carluke or Lanark.

Buses will run between Motherwell and Lanark, calling at Shieldmuir, Wishaw and Carluke.

Glasgow Central - Edinburgh (via Carstairs):

No trains will run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Carstairs.

Replacement buses will run between Motherwell and West Calder, calling at Wishaw, Carluke and Carstairs.

Sunday:

Before 15:00:

Milngavie - Motherwell (via Hamilton Central):

Trains will be diverted, and will not call at Airbles or Motherwell.

Buses replace trains between Motherwell, Airbles and Hamilton Central.

Diverted train services will run direct between Hamilton Central and Larkhall, and will not call at Chatelherault or Merryton.

Balloch – Motherwell (via Whifflet):

Buses will replace trains between Motherwell and Whifflet.

All day:

Glasgow Central - Motherwell / Lanark:

Buses will replace trains between Motherwell and Lanark.

Trains between Bellshill and Wishaw are diverted via Holytown, and will not call at Motherwell.
