Description

Engineering work is taking place between Shrewsbury and Crewe, closing all lines via Nantwich overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

The 21:26 Cardiff Central to Chester service will be diverted after Shrewsbury to run via Wrexham General (calling). A replacement bus will run from Shrewsbury to Crewe via Nantwich. An additional train will run from Crewe to Chester, connecting from this bus, to maintain last connections between Crewe and Chester.

The 22:21 Cardiff Central to Crewe service will be diverted to run via Chester. A replacement bus will run between Shrewsbury and Crewe via Nantwich.

The 22:32 Manchester Piccadilly to Shrewsbury service will terminate at Crewe. A replacement bus will run from Crewe to Shrewsbury.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 04:18 Chester to Birmingham International service will be amended to depart later than usual at 04:29, and will run non-stop to Shrewsbury, a bus replacement will run at 05:37 from Crewe to Shrewsbury to connect with the train. An additional train will also run from Chester at 04:18 to Crewe.

The 05:07 Crewe to Cardiff Central service will be amended to depart earlier than usual at 04:33, and will be diverted to run via Chester. This will extend journey times between Crewe and Shrewsbury.

The 05:19 Crewe to Shrewsbury service will be amended to start at 05:27, and will run later than usual throughout.
