Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stafford and Crewe, closing all direct lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Trains will be diverted between Stafford and Crewe, running via Alsager.

Replacement buses will run between Wolverhampton and Crewe via Stafford.

The following amended service will run:

• 2 trains per hour between Manchester Piccadilly and London Euston via Stoke-on-Trent

• 1 train per hour between Liverpool Lime Street and London Euston via Alsager

• 1 train per hour between Glasgow Central and London Euston via Alsager

• 3 trains per hour between Birmingham New Street and London Euston

• 1 train every other hour between Wolverhampton and London Euston

• 1 train every other hour between Preston and Edinburgh

• 1 train per hour between Crewe and Holyhead

London Northwestern Railway:

Trains that usually run between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford, and between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street only.

Trains that usually run between London Euston / Northampton / Birmingham New Street and Crewe will run between London Euston / Northampton / Birmingham New Street and Stafford only. Trains between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will continue to run.

On Sunday, after 21:15 replacement buses will run between Birmingham New Street / Stafford and Crewe.

Additionally on Saturday, the 21:34 Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Stafford. A replacement bus will run from Stafford to Liverpool Lime Street.
