Northern between Wigan North Western / Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge

TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Huddersfield / Newcastle, and between Manchester Airport and Saltburn

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge, closing all lines.

Northern

As a result:

  • Trains between Wigan North Western and Stalybridge will start / terminate from Manchester Victoria

  • Trains between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge will not run

Alternative journeys are available between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge using local buses and trams.

TransPennine Express:

There will be no TransPennine Express services between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge.

Services between Saltburn and Manchester Airport will divert via Guide Bridge and will start / terminate at Manchester Piccadilly, not calling at Manchester Victoria, Manchester Oxford Road, Manchester Airport.

Services between Hull and Manchester Piccadilly will start / terminate at Leeds instead of Manchester.

Local stopping services between Manchester Piccadilly and York, and between Huddersfield and Leeds will be running on an amended timetable.

Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street services will not call at Huddersfield or Stalybridge, and will additionally call at Brighouse.

Buses will not be provided – alternative journeys are available using local bus and tram services, or by train between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge.
