Description

Engineering work is taking place between Swindon and Bristol Parkway, closing all lines.

Saturday and Sunday:

Trains between London Paddington and Swansea / Carmarthen will divert between Swindon and Bristol Parkway (via Bath Spa, not calling). They will change direction of travel at Bristol Parkway before continuing to / from Newport and beyond.

Most trains will depart London Paddington and Reading (also Swindon) much earlier than normal. They will operate in near-normal timings from Bristol Parkway and beyond.

Most trains will depart Pembroke Dock / Carmarthen / Swansea and stations to Bristol Parkway at normal times, operating later from Bristol Parkway onwards.

Trains between London Paddington and Swindon (some beyond which will terminate / start Swindon) will operate in revised timings in both directions.

Saturday only:

  • The 06:48 London Paddington to Carmarthen service will start from Bristol Parkway.

Sunday only:

Some trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads (some beyond) will not run.

Trains will run to amended timings at Swindon / Reading / London Paddington, running earlier or later than usual.

Most trains between London Paddington and Swansea / Carmarthen will be diverted to run via Bath Spa, and some will call additionally at Didcot Parkway.

Additionally:

  • The 08:34 Bristol Parkway to London Paddington service will divert as above (via Bath Spa, not calling). It will arrive / depart Swindon and beyond later than normal.

  • The 22:37 London Paddington to Bristol Parkway service will divert as above (via Bath Spa, not calling) to terminate at Bristol Parkway.
