London Overground between Highbury & Islington and Crystal Palace / West Croydon

Description

Major Improvement works are taking place between between Sydenham and Crystal Palace, closing all lines from Saturday to Tuesday and some lines from Wednesday to Friday.

Saturday 26 to Tuesday 29 October:

There will be no service between Sydenham and Crystal Palace from Saturday 26 to Tuesday 29 October.

If you are travelling to / from Crystal Palace from Saturday to Tuesday, you should use local buses via any reasonable route.

The following additional amendments will be in place on Saturday:

  • Additional services will run to / from West Croydon between 08:00 and 20:00 at a frequency of 6 trains per hour

  • 05:37 Dalston Junction to West Croydon will start instead from Highbury & Islington at 05:32. It will call at Canonbury at 05:34 then continue its normal route from Dalston Junction at 05:37

The following additional amendments will be in place on Sunday:

4 trains per hour will run between Highbury & Islington to West Croydon:

First Services of the day:

  • 06:49 Highbury & Islington to West Croydon

  • 06:48 West Croydon to Highbury & Islington

Last Services of the day:

  • 23:19 Highbury & Islington to West Croydon

  • 23:18 West Croydon to Highbury & Islington

4 trains per hour will run between Highbury & Islington to New Cross:

First Services of the day:

  • 08:51 New Cross to Highbury & Islington

  • 08:14 Highbury & Islington to New Cross

Last Services of the day:

  • 22:51 New Cross to Highbury & Islington

  • 23:06 New Cross to Dalston Junction

  • 23:21 New Cross to Dalston Junction

  • 23:14 Highbury & Islington to New Cross

The planned timetable for Monday and Tuesday is:

  • 4 trains per hour between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon

  • 2 trains per hour between Dalston Junction and West Croydon

  • 2 trains per hour between Dalston Junction and New Cross

  • 2 trains per hour between Highbury & Islington and New Cross

Wednesday 30 October to Friday 1 November:

Some Crystal Palace and New Cross services will be re-timed to depart 2 minutes earlier than normally advertised. Please give yourselves time to make your connections.
