Northern between Huddersfield and Sheffield, and between Wigan North Western / Manchester Victoria and Leeds via Dewsbury, and between Bradford Interchange and Leeds via Dewsbury

All TransPennine Express to / from / via Huddersfield

Description

Major engineering work is taking place between Huddersfield / Mirfield and Leeds, closing all lines to / from / via the station.

Northern:

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October:

Buses will replace trains between Huddersfield and Lockwood.

Monday 6 to Friday 17 October:

Leeds – Manchester Victoria / Wigan North Western via Dewsbury:

Trains will be diverted to run via Bradford Interchange and will not call at stations via Dewsbury and Brighouse.

Leeds – Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury:

Trains will run to a reduced timetable, and will run between Brighouse and Bradford Interchange only.

Replacement buses will run between Halifax and Leeds, via Brighouse and Dewsbury.

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October:

Buses will operate between Huddersfield and Brighouse.

Trains will run between Huddersfield and Sheffield.

TransPennine Express:

Saturday 4 / 11 and Sunday 5 / 12 October:

No trains will call at Huddersfield.

TransPennine Express services will be diverted and additionally call at Brighouse.

Replacement buses will run between:

Saturday:

  • Manchester Airport and Brighouse

Sunday:

  • Guide Bridge and Huddersfield

Saturday and Sunday:

  • Huddersfield and Brighouse

  • Huddersfield and Wakefield Kirkgate

  • Stalybridge and Huddersfield

  • Leeds and Hull (early morning / late night only)

An amended train service will run between:

  • Leeds and Hull

  • York and Scarborough

  • Wakefield Kirkgate and York via Castleford

  • Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge via Guide Bridge

  • Liverpool Lime Street and Redcar Central via Brighouse

  • Manchester Victoria and Newcastle via Brighouse

Monday 6 to Friday 17 October:

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Dewsbury and Leeds

  • Huddersfield and Leeds

  • Normanton and Castleford

  • Wakefield Kirkgate and Normanton

  • Manchester Airport and Huddersfield

  • Huddersfield and Brighouse (early morning / late night only, connecting with amended train services)

An amended train service will run between:

  • Leeds and Hull

  • York and Scarborough

  • Manchester Victoria and Redcar Central via Wakefield Kirkgate (additionally calls at Stalybridge - Southbound only)

  • Stalybridge and Manchester Airport - Every 2 Hours

  • Manchester Piccadilly and York via Castleford - Stops at Normanton every 2 Hours

  • Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle via Wakefield Kirkgate (Additionally calls at Lea Green, Stalybridge and Northallerton)

Additionally:

Monday to Friday:

  • The 23:31 Manchester Airport to Sheffield service will be amended to start at 23:30

Tuesday to Friday:

  • Between 01:30 and 05:00 each night, trains will call additionally at Brighouse and will not call at Huddersfield. Replacement buses will run for these trains between Brighouse and Huddersfield

  • The 02:44 Manchester Piccadilly to York service will start at Manchester Victoria at 02:52

  • The 03:20 Sheffield to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. You should use other train services between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October:
