Description

Engineering work is taking place between Pontypridd and Treherbert, closing all lines.

Thursday 30 July:

The 23:00 Cardiff Central to Treherbert service will terminate at Pontypridd. A replacement bus will depart at 23:40 to Treherbert.

Friday 31 July to Thursday 6 August:

Buses will replace trains between Pontypridd and Treherbert.

Friday 7 to Saturday 15 August:

The engineering work will be extended to Radyr, meaning that buses will replace trains between:

  • Radyr and Treherbert

  • Radyr and Aberdare

  • Radyr and Merthyr Tydfil

Additionally there will be an all day bus shuttle between Abercynon and Mountain Ash due to the fact that Penrhiwceiber station is inacessible to standard rail replacement vehicles.
