Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Wakefield Westgate area, closing various lines. ​​​​​​​

CrossCountry:

All day on Saturday, trains will not call at Wakefield Westgate and will be diverted to run on other routes.

On Sunday, a limited service will call at Wakefield Westgate.

Replacement buses will run between Wakefield Westgate and Sheffield / Leeds (Saturday), and between Wakefield Westgate and Sheffield (Sunday).

Grand Central:

Trains that usually run via Adwick will be diverted to run via Pontefract, and will be retimed slightly.

LNER:

All day on Saturday and until 08:15 on Sunday, trains will be diverted, and will not call at Wakefield Westgate. Replacement buses will run between Doncaster and Wakefield Westgate.

Northern:

All day on Saturday and before 08:10 on Sunday, buses will replace trains between:

  • Leeds and Moorthorpe.

  • York and Moorthorpe.

  • Leeds and Doncaster.

  • Wakefield Westgate and Knottingley.

Trains between Leeds and Sheffield via Barnsley and between Leeds and Nottingham will run to an amended timetable.

Sunday:

All day on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Leeds and Selby / York.
