Description

Engineering work is taking place between Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

The following train plan will be implemented:

Saturday:

• 2 trains per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (via Stoke on Trent and Macclesfield)

• 1 train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central (via Nuneaton, Wilmslow, Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton)

• 2 trains per hour between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street

• 1 train per hour between London Euston and Warrington Bank Quay (via Birmingham New Street)

• 1 train pre hour between London Euston and Birmingham New Street

• 1 train every 2 hours between Preston and Edinburgh

Sunday:

• 2 trains per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (via Stoke on Trent and Macclesfield)

• 1 train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central (via Nuneaton, Wilmslow, Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton)

• 2 trains per hour between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street

• 1 train per hour between Birmingham International and Warrington Bank Quay (via Birmingham New Street)

• 1 train every 2 hours between Preston and Edinburgh
  

Replacement buses will operate between Warrington Bank Quay and Preston calling at Wigan North Western.

Northern:

Saturday:

The 18:31 Liverpool Lime Street to Wigan North Western service will not run. Customers should use the next available service.

The 21:56 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via an alternative route between Preston and Salford Crescent and will not call at Wigan North Western. Alternative services are available between Preston and Wigan North Western, and between Wigan and Manchester stations.

Sunday:

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Blackpool North will terminate / start at St Helens Central. A replacement bus service will operate between St Helens and Preston. Train services are available between Preston and Blackpool North.

TransPennine Express:

Services on Saturday are unaffected by the engineering work, and will run as normal.

Sunday:

Trains that usually run between Liverpool Lime Street and Glasgow Central will be amended to run between Preston and Glasgow Central only.

Replacement buses will run between Liverpool Lime Street and Preston.
