Description
The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Wilmslow and Crewe. As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
All stations between Chelford and Crewe will not be served.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:
Trains will be diverted via Stoke-on-Trent. Wilmslow will not be served.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Northern trains between Stockport and Wilmslow in both directions until further notice.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
Northern customer advice:
Customers may use West Midlands Railway between Crewe and Stoke on Trent until end of service.
Customers may use CrossCountry trains between Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester until end of service.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
Replacement transport:
1 x Bestway bus will depart Alderley Edge at 22:40, all stops to Crewe
1 x Bestway bus will depart Crewe at 22:15 and 23:40 all stops to Manchester Piccadilly
1 x Ocean Travel bus will depart Manchester Piccadilly at 23:36, all stops to Crewe
1 x Ocean Travel bus will depart Manchester Piccadilly at 23:45, all stops to Crewe
1 x Sky Coaches bus will depart Crewe at 00:44, all stations to Manchester Piccadilly via Manchester Airpor
Please be advised journeys will be extended by up to 60 minutes when using replacement road transport.

Between Crewe and Warrington Bank Quay in both directions with Avanti West Coast

These arrangements are in place on services until the end of day
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Customers at Crewe are advised to travel to Warrington Bank Quay on Avanti West Coast and to travel on connecting Northern and Transport for Wales services towards Manchester Piccadilly.
Customers at Manchester Piccadilly are advised to travel on Northern and Transport for Wales services to Warrington Bank Quay and change onto Avanti West Coast services towards Crewe.
