Description

Lines have reopened following a points failure between Alnmouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

As services return to normal, trains may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 25 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

LNER customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on alternative LNER services, to help you to complete your journey. You do not need to buy a new ticket.

Your ticket may also be used at no extra cost on TransPennine Express services between Newcastle and York and on Northern services between York and Leeds.
