Description

There is a fault with the signalling system between Rutherglen and Anderston. This is disrupting the line running via Glasgow Central.

As a result of this issue, a heavily reduced service is in operation between Rutherglen and Partick. Trains may be cancelled in full or revised to only run for part of their normal journey.

Services will operate as follows:

  • A half hourly service will operate between Larkhall and Hyndland

  • An hourly service will operate between Motherwell and Rutherglen via Hamilton Central

  • An hourly service will operate between Motherwell and Rutherglen via Baillieston

Services running to / from Helensburgh Central will call additionally at Jordanhill, Scotstounhill, Garscadden, Yoker and Clydebank in both directions.

This is expected until 20:00.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on the following:

  • ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination

  • Whitelaws Buses on routes between Larkhall and Motherwell

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
