Description

Following animals on the line between Gretna Green and Annan earlier today all lines have now reopened. Trains travelling between Carlisle and Dumfries may still be cancelled or revised whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until 13:30.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

You may use your ticket onboard local services between Kilmarnock / Barrhead and Glasgow Central at no extra cost.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services:

  • Avanti West Coast between Carlisle and Glasgow Central in both directions

  • TransPennine Express between Carlisle and Lockerbie

Rail replacement transport has been requested at Carlisle and Dumfries.

  • Departing Dumfries at 12:00 travelling to Carlisle

If you have to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
