Description

A fire next to the track between Armadale and Livingston North means that all lines are closed. As a result, trains running between Airdrie and Edinburgh will be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Trains from Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh can run only as far as Airdrie.

Rail replacement has been requested to run between Airdrie and Edinburgh Park calling at all stops.

Three buses are confirmed at Airdrie, one at 18:50, provided by Arays Travel and two at 19:00, provided by Ace Travel.

There is also one Merlin Travel bus confirmed at Edinburgh Park at 19:30.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination:

• Balloch - Airdrie

• Glasgow Central - Edinburgh via Shotts

• Glasgow Queen Street - Edinburgh via Falkirk High

• Glasgow Queen Street - Falkirk Grahamston

You can also use your ticket at no extra cost on Edinburgh Trams between Edinburgh Park and Edinburgh.
