Description
A speed restriction between Horsham and Barnham means that fewer trains are able to run on all lines towards Barnham and Bognor Regis.
Services running between these stations will be revised as a result.
This is expected until the end of the day on Sunday 6 September.
Customer advice:
A number of temporary speed restrictions are in place across the Arundel area, which means trains need longer to complete their journeys.
Southern know that continuing to run the usual timetable in these circumstances would lead to delays building throughout the day, as well as cancellations being made at short notice. This would make it difficult for customers to plan their journeys with confidence.
The below changes to the service will provide a more reliable journey for you whilst Network Rail colleagues continue to complete sufficient repairs to the tracks.
Service amendments:
Services between Bognor Regis and Barnham have been reduced to half hourly services which will depart:
Bognor Regis at: XX:26 and XX:56 each hour
Barnham at: : XX:14 and XX:45 each hour
Services between London Victoria and Bognor Regis will run half hourly in each direction as normal
London Victoria to Portsmouth Harbour will run only between Barnham and Portsmouth Harbour calling all stations. These services will depart:
Barnham at XX:30 each hour
Portsmouth Harbour at XX:29 each hour
If you require travel from London towards Portsmouth Harbour, you will need to change at Barnham for an alternate service. Please ensure you are giving yourself additional time to complete your journey.
There will be no additional peak service running from Bognor Regis to London Bridge
