Description

A fault with the signalling system between Bedlington and Ashington means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run and buses will replace trains between these stations.

Disruption is expected to continue until approximately 20:00.

Train services are unable to run between Bedlington and Ashington in both directions.

You should continue your journey using the alternative suggestions below.

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport will be operated by North Star as follows:

  • From Bedlington to Ashington at 17:45, 18:15, 18:45 & 19:15

  • From Ashington to Bedlington at 17:45, 18:15, 18:45 & 19:15

Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick-up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.

Journey times may be extended by up to 20 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
