Description

Lines have now reopened following a fault with the signalling system between Newcastle and Ashington. Whilst services return to normal, trains between these stations may still be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 07:00.

Services between Newcastle and Ashington are being disrupted due to an earlier fault with the signalling system.

Network Rail staff have been on site and rectified the fault.
