Description

A tree is blocking the line at Aston meaning that the line is blocked. As a result, trains running between Lichfield Trent Valley / Walsall and Birmingham New Street via Aston may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 18:15.

Customer advice:

You can use you ticket on local bus routes between Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham in both directions at no extra cost.

Rail replacement transport:

The following rail replacement transport has been confirmed:

  • 4 x full sized Brit Coaches between Lichfield City and Sutton Coldfield in both directions, calling at all stations

  • 2 x full sized Eminence Travel coach between Lichfield City and Sutton Coldfield in both directions, calling at all stations

  • National Express services between Lichfield Trent Valley and Sutton Coldfield in both directions

Additional mid-sized Eminence buses have also been confirmed to shuttle between Lichfield Trent Valley and Lichfield City in both directions.

Please allow up to 60 minutes for rail replacement transport to complete these journeys.
