Description

Damage to the overhead electric wires between Kilwinning and Ayr means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run between Kilwinning and Ayr and will be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Limited rail replacement transport is in operation between Kilwinning and Ayr.

Please speak to station staff or use the help points on the platform for further information.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost on the following services at no extra cost:

  • ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination

  • Stagecoach West services between Kilwinning and Ayr (show your valid ticket or Smart card to the driver when boarding the bus)

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
