Description

A safety inspection of the track between Barnham and Littlehampton means that all lines are closed. As a result, trains to / from Littlehampton will be cancelled in full or revised to terminate and start from a different station.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Customer advice:

Southern are unable to run any trains to or from Littlehampton station. If you are travelling now, you may need to use an alternative route to reach your destination.

Your journey may take longer than normal and you should allow an additional 45 minutes extra to reach your destination.

Changes to services:

Trains that normally run between London Victoria and Littlehampton will now run between London Victoria and Barnham.

Trains that normally run between Bognor Regis and Littlehampton are suspended until further notice.

How do I get to or from Littlehampton?

If you are travelling to or from Littlehampton you can use your ticket at no extra cost on Stagecoach route 500 between Littlehampton and Barnham. From Barnham you can travel onwards towards London.

• Alternative Southern services towards your destination

• Stagecoach Buses route 500 between Littlehampton, Barnham and Chichester

Southern have been made aware of a safety inspection of the track in the Littlehampton Area. Due to this, no trains are able to run to and from Littlehampton.

Network rail engineers are assessing the incident and Southern hope to get the service back running as normal as soon as possible.
