Description

Urgent repairs to the railway between Eggesford and Barnstaple means that the line is blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run between these stations and will be revised to start / terminate at Eggesford.

Disruption is expected until the end of service.

Customer advice:

Trains will continue to run between Exeter St Davids and Eggesford. Passengers wishing to travel beyond will be required to travel on road transport from Exeter St Davids. Limited road transport, in the form of taxis, has been confirmed.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following Stagecoach Buses:

  • Route 5: Exeter Central (New North Road), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton (Station Cross)

  • Route 5A: Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Okehampton

  • Route 5B: Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road, Barnstaple

  • Route 5C: Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road, Lapford

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
