Description
Urgent repairs to the track at Bickley means that some lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running between Bromley South and Swanley / Orpington may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

What's happened?
Urgent repairs to the railway are required on a crossing at Bickley. Trains are able to run but because of a lack of available routes some services will have to be cancelled.
A repair will be carried out overnight, so this will remain an issue for the rest of the day.
How does this affect my journey?
Some of the following services will be cancelled:
Southeastern services between London Victoria and Orpington
Thameslink services between London Blackfriars and Orpington
Other services through the area may be delayed or altered.

There will be a reduced service between London and Orpington this morning. The service that normally runs half hourly between Luton and Orpington will only run hourly. Those that do run are likely to be delayed as trains have to run at a slower speed in the Bickley area.
Please allow an extra 20 minutes for your journey, and check station screens and planners for the latest information.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
There is a cracked crossing in the Bickley area that has made it necessary to reduce the number of trains running along the route. Network Rail are aware and are sending engineers to investigate the severity of the damage, with a view to repairing it as soon as possible.
