Description

The fire brigade are dealing with an incident near the railway at Bidston. This means that all lines at this station are currently blocked.

As a result of this, services running to / from and through Bidston are unable to operate and will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Merseyrail customer advice:

Train services between Birkenhead Hamilton Square and New Brighton / West Kirby are suspended.

Your tickets can be used at no extra cost on rail replacement transport between Birkenhead North and New Brighton / West Kirby.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Arriva Buses routes 407 / 437 and Stagecoach Buses route 38.

Transport for Wales have organised rail replacement buses to run as follows, operated by Keanes and Pats Coaches:

  • 09:58 / 10:59 / 12:27 departure from Bidston to Wrexham General

  • 09:42 / 11:03 / 12:04 departure from Wrexham General to Bidston

Road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
