Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International.

Trains may still be cancelled, revised, or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Advice for Avanti West Coast customers:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

Your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on London Northwestern Railway services between Birmingham New Street and London Euston.

Advice for CrossCountry customers:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

Advice for London Northwesterrn Railway / West Midlands Railway customers:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • National Express West Midlands via any reasonable route

  • West Midlands Metro between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street

  • Avanti West Coast and Chiltern Railways between Birmingham and London
