Description
A fault with the signalling system between Newcastle and Hexham means that some lines are blocked.
As a result, trains will be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.

Services between Newcastle and Hexham (in both directions) are currently being disrupted due to a fault with the signalling system. Network Rail engineers are on site.
Effect on service:
Services are currently unable to run between Newcastle and Hexham in both directions.
Alternative travel suggestions:
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
Road transport details:
To assist passengers the following rail replacement transport has been recruited:
Newcastle, all stops to Carlisle at the following times: 16:55, 17:05
Journey times will be extended whilst travelling by road transport.
