Description

All lines are closed between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton whilst the emergency services deal with an incident. To allow them to carry out their work safely, trains between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes. We expect that disruption will continue until approximately 14:00.

CrossCountry customer advice:

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, you may use your ticket on CrossCountry services operating two hours before or two hours after your cancelled service.

Alternatively, you may use your ticket on the following services and suggested routes at no extra cost:

  • Great Western Railway services between Plymouth and Bristol Temple Meads

  • South Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids and Basingstoke

You may also use your ticket on the following operators on alternative viable routes if your train is cancelled:

  • Great Western Railway

  • South Western Railway

Please note, Great Western Railway are also affected by this disruption.

You do not need to amend your ticket to use it on these services

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on the following First Bus routes:

  • A3 between Worle (New Bristol Road), Weston Milton (The Borough Arms), Weston-Super-Mare (Neva Road)

  • X1 between Weston-Super-Mare (Oxford Street), Weston Milton (The Borough Arms), Worle (New Bristol Road), Nailsea & Backwell (Crossroads), Bristol (Bus Station)

  • X5 between Weston-Super-Mare (Oxford Street), Weston Milton (The Borough Arms), Worle (New Bristol Road)

  • X9 between Bristol (Bus Station), Nailsea

  • 75 between Parson Street (station), Bedminster (East Street towards Bristol City Centre, Dalby Avenue towards Parson Street), Bristol City Centre (The Centre)

  • 76 between Parson Street (station), Bedminster (East Street towards Bristol City Centre, Dalby Avenue towards Parson Street), Bristol City Centre (The Centre)

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
