Description
A safety inspection of the track between Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham Spa means the line towards Cheltenham Spa is blocked. As a result, trains between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 12:00.
A visual disruption map video is available.
CrossCountry customer advice:
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:
The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service
Great Western Railway services between Penzance / Plymouth and Cheltenham Spa
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
Great Western Railway customer advice:
CrossCountry are running trains between Bristol Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham Spa, taking a longer route than normal.
Great Western Railway customers can use their tickets on these trains at no extra cost, changing at Cheltenham Spa for Gloucester.
Alternatively, customers can travel to Newport with Great Western Railway for a Transport for Wales or CrossCountry service onwards to Gloucester.
Great Western Railway have arranged road transport at Bristol Parkway for Yate and Cam & Dursley. This will be a coach provided by Applegates.
You can also use your ticket at no extra cost on First Bus route Y1: Bristol (Centre), Yate (Station) and First Bus route Y6: Patchway (Little Stoke Lane), Bristol Parkway (Station), Yate (Station).
If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
