Between London Victoria and Orpington

Description

A speed restriction over defective track between Brixton and Beckenham Junction means that a reduced service will run between London Victoria and Orpington via Herne Hill.

This is expected until the end of the day on Tuesday 9 June.

What's happened?

Safety checks were carried out overnight where a section of defective track was identified on the line from London Victoria to Beckenham Junction via Herne Hill. Trains can run over the line at a reduced speed however a full repair is required to allow trains to run at their normal speed. Some of the work will be carried out tonight (Monday 8 June) with further work required tomorrow night (Tuesday 9 June).

The line from Bromley South / Beckenham Junction towards London Victoria is unaffected.
