Description

The emergency services have now finished their work following an earlier incident between Glasgow Central and Motherwell. Whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

  • CrossCountry services between Edinburgh and Birmingham New Street in both directions

  • LNER services between Edinburgh and Newcastle / London Kings Cross in both directions

  • Northern services between Carlisle and Newcastle in both directions

  • ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street in both directions

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

  • JMB Bus route 41 between Lanark (Bus Station) and Hamilton (Bus Station, calling at Carluke (Orchard Street), Wishaw (Russell Street), Shieldmuir (John Street) and Motherwell (Motherwell Library)

  • ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
