Between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Canterbury West, between London St Pancras International and Margate, and also between Canterbury West and Ashford International

Description

A fault with the signalling system at Canterbury West means some lines are blocked. Trains running between Ramsgate and Ashford International may be cancelled or diverted via Dover Priory.

Disruption is expected until 17:30.

What's happened?

There is a fault with the signalling system at Canterbury West - response teams are on site working to rectify.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains from Ramsgate towards Ashford International via Canterbury West are currently unable to run, and services will be diverted via Dover Priory.

Trains towards Ramsgate from Ashford International, are able to operate normally.

What should I do?

If you're travelling towards London, we recommend you use our services from Canterbury East station to London Victoria. Canterbury East is approximately 15 minutes distance from Canterbury West.

Whilst the line is closed, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following local Stagecoach Bus routes between:

  • Canterbury and Sandwich (Route 43)

  • Canterbury and Margate (Route 8, 8A)

  • Canterbury and Ashford (Route 1X)
