Disruption to Transport for Wales services in the Cardiff Central area expected until 16:00

Between Holyhead / Manchester Piccadilly / Cheltenham Spa / Gloucester and Cardiff Central, between Manchester Piccadilly and Milford Haven / Fishguard Harbour, between Cardiff Central and Treherbert, between Penarth and Coryton / Caerphilly, between Ebbw Vale Town and Maesteg, and also between Barry Island / Bridgend and Rhymney

Description

Lines have now reopened following a fault with the signalling system between Cardiff Central and Bridgend. However, whilst service recovers, trains may still be disrupted.

Heavy congestion has built up in and around the Cardiff Central area, causing further disruption to services in the area.

As a result of both of these issues, Transport for Wales trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Please note, Great Western Railway services are no longer affected.

This is expected until 16:00.
