Description

All lines have now reopened following an earlier fault with the signalling system between Carlisle and Lockerbie / Kilmarnock. Trains running between these stations may continue to be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

TransPennine Express customer advice:

TransPennine Express services on the following routes are subject to delay:

  • Liverpool Lime Street to Glasgow Central – will only run between Liverpool Lime Street and Carlisle

  • Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central/Edinburgh – will only run between Manchester Airport and Carlisle

Some services may start and terminate at Preston.
