Description
The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Carstairs / Lanark and Motherwell. To allow them to safely carry out their work, all lines are closed. Trains running between Carstairs / Lanark and Glasgow Central may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 11:00.

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

Limited rail replacement buses are in operation between Lanark and Motherwell.
You may use your ticket, at no extra cost on JMB Buses route 41 between Lanark and Hamilton.

Between Shotts and Glasgow Central
You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.
If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Trains will not call at Motherwell and Glasgow Central until the lines have reopened.
