Description

A fault with the signalling system between Carstairs / Lanark and Glasgow Central means trains between these stations will run at a reduced speed on some lines.

Trains between these stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

This is expected until 14:45.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

ScotRail customer advice:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Rail replacement buses will be in operation as follows:

  • 13:45 Motherwell to Lanark

  • 13:45 Lanark to Motherwell
