Between Preston and Colne

Description

An obstruction on the track between Preston and Blackburn means all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 14:00.

Train services are unable to run between Preston and Blackburn in both directions.

Services on the following routes will be affected by this disruption:

  • Preston to Colne

  • Blackpool North and York


What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport will be operated as follows:

  • 11:00 / 12:00 / 13:00 Preston to Blackburn calling at Lostock Hall, Bamber Bridge, Pleasington, Cherry Tree, Mill Hill (Lancashire) and Blackburn

  • 10:30 / 11:30 / 12:30 / 13:30 Blackburn to Preston calling at Mill Hill (Lancashire), Cherry Tree, Pleasington, Bamber Bridge, Lostock Hall and Preston

Journey times may be extended whilst travelling by road transport.
