Description
There is a points failure between Chester and Crewe, closing all lines running between these stations.
As a result, a reduced service is currently in operation.
This is expected until 17:30.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
Replacement buses will run between Chester and Crewe. These will start from 09:00 and will run until 16:00.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
Transport for Wales customer advice:
Replacement buses will run between Chester and Crewe to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Chester at approximately 05:30 and at Crewe at approximately 06:15 provided by Keanes Coaches.
These arrangements are in place on services until 10:30.
Road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Stagecoach bus route 84 between Chester and Crewe
