Description
Urgent repairs to the track need to be carried out in the Chilham area.
As a result, services between Ramsgate and Ashford International via Canterbury West may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
This is expected until 12:00.
What's happened?
A rail defect has been detected in the Chilham area, so the line from Ramsgate towards Ashford is blocked. A repair is required to allow the line to reopen.
The line from Ashford towards Ramsgate remains open.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains from Ramsgate towards Ashford International via Canterbury West will be diverted via an alternative route where possible.
Trains from Ashford International towards Ramsgate can run normally.
What should I do?
Replacement buses will run from Ramsgate to Ashford via Canterbury West.
You may use your ticket on Stagecoach Bus routes 1, 1A and 1X between Canterbury and Ashford at no extra charge.
