Description
There is a fault with the signalling system at Chislehurst, resulting in some lines being blocked.
Trains running through the station may be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 minutes.
This is expected to cause disruption until 20:00.
What's happened?
A signalling problem was reported in the Chislehurst area, which meant one of the two lines away from London through Chislehurst could only be used by services travelling towards St Mary Cray. This meant all services towards Orpington from London Bridge were having to use a single line.
Response staff have now attended and resolved the signalling problem, and trains are able to use all lines normally through Chislehurst.
How does this affect my journey?
All-stations services between London Cannon Street and Orpington will not run until at least 18:45. Other services running between central London and Orpington may be delayed or altered, while we work to return to on-time running.
What should I do?
If you are at London Cannon Street and require stations between Hither Green and Petts Wood, please travel to London Bridge and change for alternate services.
