Description
Some lines have reopened following a points failure in the Church Fenton area. As services start returning to normal, trains operating through these stations may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 21:00.
CrossCountry customer advice:
You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on the two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
Northern customer advice:
Train services are unable to run from York towards Leeds via Micklefield in this direction only. Services will be affected by delays and cancellations in both directions.
Services that run between Leeds and York via Harrogate are NOT affected.
Services that run between York and Hull are NOT affected.
Alternative travel suggestions:
Passengers for intermediates between York and Leeds can travel from York to Selby, where you can then change for a stopping service towards Leeds.
You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on TransPennine Express services between Leeds and York.
Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.

If the train you have a ticket for is cancelled, you can travel on any Northern, TransPennine Express or LNER service within 2 hours before or after your cancelled service was due to depart.
