Description
Lines have reopened following an earlier fault with the signalling system between City Thameslink and London Blackfriars. Trains running between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected to continue until 05:30.
Customer advice:
An ongoing fault with the signalling has been disrupting services across the Thameslink network. Some services remain subject to alterations and cancellations, with the following services in particular being affected:
Services between Three Bridges and Bedford (stopping services via Redhill)
In addition to this, overnight Thameslink services will run to an amended service in order to allow Network Rail to carry out repairs. From approximately 00.30 until 05.00, no services will run in either direction between St Pancras and Blackfriars/East Croydon. The following changes are expected:
Services will run between Brighton/Three Bridges and East Croydon only, or will be cancelled
Services will run between St Pancras and Bedford only, or will be cancelled
Other changes to early morning services are likely so please check your journey before you travel and consider travelling earlier or later where possible.
Journeys will likely take at least 60 minutes longer than usual so please allow plenty of extra time for your journey.
If you are travelling to or from Luton Airport or Gatwick Airport:
Please check your journey well in advance of your departure. Trains towards your destination may be disrupted, and you may need to allow extra time to reach the airport in time for your flight.
You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
Thameslink or Southern services on any reasonable route towards your destination
London Underground services on any reasonable route
London Buses on any reasonable route across south and central London
