Trains between Blackpool South / Preston and Colne

Description

A shortage of train crew between Blackburn and Colne means fewer trains are able to run. As a result, trains will be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Northern services on the following routes are not affected by this disruption in both directions:

  • Between Blackburn and Manchester Victoria via Bolton.

  • Between Blackburn and Manchester Victoria via Todmorden.

  • Between Blackpool North and Leeds.

What should I do?

Road replacement transport is in place between Blackburn and Colne in both directions.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport will be operated by Phantom as follows:

  • From Colne to Blackburn, calling at Nelson, Brierfield, Burnley Central, Burnley Barracks, Rose Grove, Hapton, Huncoat, Accrington, Church & Oswaldtwistle, Rishton and Blackburn at 12:33, 14:33, 16:33, 18:33 and 20:33.

  • From Blackburn to Colne, calling at Rishton, Church & Oswaldtwistle, Accrington, Huncoat, Hapton, Rose Grove, Burnley Barracks, Burnley Central, Brierfield, Nelson and Colne at 12:41, 14:41, 16:41, 18:41, 20:41 and 22:41.

Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
