Description
Theft of signalling cables between Doncaster and Sheffield means trains must run at a reduced speed on all lines. As a result, services operating between Doncaster and Sheffield may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes, revised or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 11:00.

You may use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Doncaster and Sheffield at no extra cost.

Rail replacement transport will operate as follows:
x2 16 seat vehicles departing Doncaster at 07:00, calling at all stops to Swinton (operated by Elite)
x3 16 seat vehicles departing Swinton at 07:30, calling at all stops to Doncaster (operated by RSZ)
Journey times may be extended by up to 30 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:
Sheffield Supertram services between Rotherham Central / Meadowhall and Sheffield
TransPennine Express services between Scarborough and York, and also between Hull and Leeds
If you are travelling from stations between Scarborough / Hull / Doncaster towards Sheffield can travel towards Leeds, changing there for trains to towards Sheffield.
If you are at stations between Sheffield and Swinton can travel to Wakefield Westgate on a Leeds bound service, changing there for trains to Doncaster and then for stations towards Hull and Scarborough.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

You should continue to travel as planned, however, your journey may be delayed

Network Rail are on site investigating the problem.
Trains will be able to run at a reduced speed. The signaller will pass trains over the affected areas until full repairs have been completed.
