Description

All lines have now reopened following overrunning engineering works between Barrow-in-Furness and Corkickle. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 08:30.

Customer advice:

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport will be operated by Travellers Choice and Workington Transport Heritage Trust as follows:

• From Barrow-in-Furness to Sellafield, calling at Sellafield only, at 07:30

• From Whitehaven to Barrow-In-Furness, calling at all stations except for Nethertown and Braystones, at 07:30
