Description
The earlier points failure that had reoccurred between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street has now been rectified, allowing the line is to reopen.
As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be delayed up to 60 minutes, revised, cancelled or diverted.
Disruption expected until the end of the day.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.
London Northwestern Railway customer advice:
Rail replacement buses are in operation between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street until further notice.
