Description

Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Crewe and Wigan North Western / Runcorn meaning all lines are closed. Whilst they attend to the incident, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 90 minutes or cancelled.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Tickets will be accepted on the following routes at no extra cost:

• East Midlands Railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly

• LNER between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh

• Merseyrail between Liverpool Lime Street and Chester

• Northern between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston

• ScotRail between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh

• TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly

• TransPennine Express between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh

• Transport for Wales between Liverpool Lime Street / Crewe and Chester

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

• Avanti West Coast between Stafford and Manchester Piccadilly

• East Midlands Railway between Manchester Piccadilly / Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street
